Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how US Appliance Care (“US Appliance Care”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information through us-appliancecare.com (the “Site”). It applies to information collected on the Site, including through our service request, contact and privacy request forms.
1. Summary
- We collect the details you type into our forms, mainly so we can pass your repair request to independent repair providers who may contact you.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels (including Microsoft UET) or other tracking technologies on the Site.
- We don’t use your request details for marketing, and we don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- You can ask to access, delete or correct your information, or opt out, using our privacy request form.
2. Notice at collection
At or before the point of collection, here is what we collect and why:
| Form | Information collected | Purpose | Shared with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Service request | Name, phone number, email, ZIP code, appliance type, brand/model (optional), problem description, preferred contact method and time | To pass your request to independent providers so they can contact you, diagnose and quote; to contact you about the request | Independent repair providers who may serve your area (at your direction); our service providers |
| Contact | Name, email, topic, message | To reply to you | Our service providers |
| Privacy request | Name, email, phone (optional), state (optional), request type, details, whether you are an authorized agent | To verify and respond to your request and keep records required by law | Our service providers |
| All visits | Technical data in server logs: IP address, browser type, page requested, referring page, date and time | To deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix errors | Our hosting provider |
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account details or precise geolocation. Retention periods are described in section 7.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us. The information you enter into our forms, as listed above. Please don’t include payment card details or other sensitive information in free-text fields.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information needed to deliver web pages, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use your IP address temporarily to limit repeated form submissions (spam prevention); it is not stored with your submission.
Cookies and tracking. The Site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, remarketing or session-recording tools. Because we don’t track you, we have nothing to stop when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal — but we treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing if we ever add such tools.
4. How we use information
- To pass your service request to independent repair providers and enable them to contact you about it.
- To contact you about your request, answer your messages and handle privacy requests.
- To protect the Site and our users, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
5. How we share information
Independent repair providers. When you submit a service request and tick the consent box, you direct us to share your request and contact details with independent appliance repair professionals who may serve your area, so they can contact you. Those providers are separate businesses; their use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices.
Service providers. We use vendors that process information on our behalf: our website host (Vercel), our email delivery provider (Resend), which forwards form submissions to our support inbox, and our email inbox provider. They may use it only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
Business transfers. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner, subject to this policy.
6. Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under California law, disclosing your information to a provider because you intentionally directed us to do so (by submitting a service request) is not a sale. In the preceding 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
You can still submit an opt-out request at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
7. How long we keep information
- Service requests: up to 24 months after submission, so we can answer follow-up questions and handle complaints, then deleted.
- Contact messages: up to 12 months after our last correspondence.
- Privacy requests: 24 months, as required by California regulations.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention settings.
Providers who receive your request keep it under their own policies.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know or access the personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it;
- delete personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Residents of California and several other states (including Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas and Virginia) have rights under their state privacy laws. We honor these requests from any US resident.
How to make a request. Use our privacy request form or our contact form. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (we may extend once by up to 45 more days where the law permits, and will tell you why).
Verification. To protect you, we verify requests to access, delete or correct by matching the email address and, where provided, phone number to our records, and we may ask for more information. Opt-out requests do not require verification.
Authorized agents. An authorized agent may submit a request for you. We may ask for signed permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying through our contact form with “Privacy appeal” as the topic. We will respond within the time your state’s law requires (generally 45 to 60 days) and explain our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
9. Phone calls, texts and email
If you submit a service request, US Appliance Care and the independent providers we share it with may contact you by phone call, text message or email at the details you provided, about that request only. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send marketing messages. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time via our contact form (topic “Stop contacting me”); please also tell any provider directly if you no longer want to hear from them.
10. Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to submissions is limited to people and service providers who need it to handle requests. No system is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information such as payment details through our forms.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 for sale/sharing purposes). If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date. If we make material changes — for example, adding analytics or advertising tags — we will update this policy before they take effect.
